In Marshall County the entertainment is plentiful at this year's Marshall County Fair.

This year's fair features lots of exhibits by the Marshall County Future Farmers of America and the 4-H groups. Six, $2,000 scholarships were handed out during the Friday night event. The grand champion steer was also named. Congratulations got to Rena Reid.

Now, listen to this: the grand champion hog, raised by Lindsey Siburt, was sold to CONSOL Energy for $100 a pound. So what's that total: $27,800 for a pig! There is a total of 176 animals at this year's Marshall County Fair, which wraps up Saturday night.

It"s nice Consol has more money than they know What to do with! Yes it good for the 4-H kids and the scholarship fund. But again the old time saying money Talk and Bull---- Walks ! @ $ 100 a pound( wow) or to paid people off so they can drill in Marshall Co. The average person could not enjoy the auction for lack of that kind of money. Would the drilling company paid that kind IF they were not drilling. Geat Real.

WOW,,CONGRATS ON THE HOG...I CAN SAY THAT THIS WAS WAS THE BEST FOR THE FAIR HERE IN MARSHALL COUNTY...THE REASON WHY I SAID THIS IS BECAUSE I PARKED CARS @ THIS FAIR AND THIS PAST FRIDAY WAS CRAZY.....WE FILLED UP THE LOT BY THE FAIR AND WE HAD TO PUT THEM IN ANOTHER LOT ACROSS THE ROAD AND DOWN THE ROAD..THERE HAD TO BE AROUND 2-3 THOUSAND PEOPLE THERE.......BUT THE WORSE PART IS WE HAD TO UNDO THE PARKING WHEN THEY ALL LEFT....WHY TO GO MARSHALL COUNTY.....!!!!!!
