Other issues addressed during Monday's event.

WHEELING -- Drivers in downtown Wheeling were a bit distracted Monday, by a group who was marching for a very good cause.

As we know, there's much debate over our national health care system.

The Children's Defense Fund of the Freedom school at the Laughlin Memorial Chapel joined in the Day of Social Action. The group started at it's location on Eighteenth Street and marched through Downtown Wheeling. They ended at Heritage Port.

Their march was to raise awareness that there is a need for health care.

The march was also held to raise awareness for healthy children, the cradle to the prison pipeline, the need for better education, and voter registration. The mission of the Children's Defense Fund is to ensure every child a healthy start.

I agree with Rusty1 ,Manipulating innocent children to make political points is out of the bounds of responsible behavior. Sending children to school and to have them indoctrinated by adults with a political agenda is unacceptable. It should be against the law. Shame on them.

Keeps the kids out of politics and stop the brainwashing. Let them have a childhood.

This is unbelievable - MOSAIC, the local ACORN group used CHILDREN to do their work? This is not surprising - indoctrinate/brainwash them early that the Government is the answer and solution to their problems. And just what is the "cradle to prison" pipeline? How can the Govt fix that? The Voter Registration is obviously ACORN/MOSAIC - working on fixing the next elections, just like they did 2008.
